Updates from the Programme...

The programme started on 3 June 2026 with 6 participants meeting weekly in Sittingbourne plus one visit to Goose Studio in Faversham.

Week 1 -  The group introduced themselves to one another and  we looked at what Printmaking is, and what is meant by  A Woman’s Place is.... thinking about the different types of work the group could make within this theme.

Weeks 2 and 3 - The group carved their first stamps and printed from them.  Gorgeous one layer stamp prints and multi-layer stamp prints were created.

Weeks 4 and 5 - The group carved and printed fantastic black and white linoprints.

Week 6 -the group made black and with monoprints with Printmaker and Painter, Erin Bryne guiding them.

Week 7 -the group used the techniques they learnt in Week 6 to make experimental colour monoprints.

Weeks 8 to 11 -the group learnt the multi-block linocut print technique and made fabulous and fun 3 block prints.

Weeks 12 and 13-the group learnt the Tetra Pak Print method and made some lovely sensitive tonal prints.

Weeks 14 and 15-the group had a fantastic visit to Goose Studio in Faversham, Kent and spent the day having great fun making Riso Prints, under the expert gudance of Sarah Simmonds.
